Dr. Maria Montessori once said, “Children display a universal love of mathematics, which is par excellence the science of precision, order, and intelligence.”
But, the mathematical minds of children cannot be developed without proper education and practices. Dr. Montessori suggested a few ways to develop mathematical mind effectively, and, in short, it’s all about letting children learn math by interacting with familiar matters and objects. Children prefer moving matters to non-moving matters, and they prefer concrete objects to abstractions. By interacting with familiar matters and objects, they will develop the ability to abstract mathematically.

‘playMath addition subtraction’ is an app designed in light of Dr. Montessori’s philosophy. It is specifically designed to enhance children’s arithmetical abilities by letting them interact with matters and objects associated to numbers.

The target audience of this ‘playMath addition subtraction’ app is the 1st and 2nd graders in elementary schools.(User Suggested Ages : 7~9 years old )
